I was asked frequently asked over the holidays, "What are you going to do in retirement". It was a very difficulty question to answer. I resorted to discussing my intention of becoming a trophy wife but most realized that I was of course joking.

I heard someone discuss retirement as the second chapter of life. I really related to this concept. I love to read and I know that a new chapter in a book is full of mystery and anticipation. A new chapter can also take many twists and turns and introduce new concepts and information.

In my readings, I discovered the concept of ROAR which stand for Roaring into the second half of life using the acronym to guide the transition, R = Reimage yourself, O = Own who you are, A = Act on what's next and R - Reassess your relationships. This concept goes on to explain that the next chapter of life should be an opportunity to live life on one's own terms with freedom and intentionality.

In 16 Wednesdays I will start the second chapter of life and see what adventure awaits!
